“Hi, I am Kinga Jutsen and I would like to welcome you to Kinga’s Highland Pilates, a fully equipped, boutique studio where the transformation happens from the inside out. Kinga has made such a huge difference to my life and my work! As an artist/sculptor, my body had reached a point where I was no longer coping with the impact of injury, and it was affecting my energy levels and my creative output.
Kinga has been my Pilates instructor for over 4 years, and over this time she has strengthened my body; lots of core strengthening, as well as building an awareness of what muscles should be activated when I move. She has an extraordinary repository of wisdom and is also infinitely patient.
Thank you Kinga!
Erica Thompson
“Kinga has been teaching me Pilates for 4 years and I love it!
Kinga is a highly qualified Pilates instructor. Her expertise and ability to recognise exactly the right exercise for each individual indicates her professionalism and skill and dedication.
I have become strong and flexible and taller.
We are sorry to see her leave our studio in Sydney and are envious of all the lucky Highlanders that will benefit immensely from her care.”

Pilates with Kinga is an holistic experience. Kinga nurtures and encourages both the Body and mind to work together to reach one’s physical and strength potential whatever that may be. Pilates is so important to keep me in tune with my body and to support it to do all the things I want and continue to want to do. With Kinga I have found a connection, respect and gratitude for my body. There is no judgment or pressure. Kinga creates an environment where one feels supported and nurtured - both physically and mentally. A wonderful and giving practitioner.

“I had the privilege of having Kinga for 2yrs as my Pilates teacher while she was with Village Pilates. During this time she was able to help me work through a myriad of issues I have with my body, predominantly with my back. She has an incredible knowledge of the human body and the way it should function and was able to tailor my sessions based on how my body was feeling on the day. She has a gentle, calming approach, but also has the ability to push you to places you didn’t think possible. Not only is she a wonderful teacher, she is also a beautiful person and I will miss her. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to do Pilates, whether they are a beginner or experienced.”

“Kinga is the most wonderful pilates instructor. She is extremely passionate about pilates and in her very patient and caring manner, makes the client her priority. She is extremely knowledgeable and understands the underlying principles of pilates so well. Often she would instruct me to do an exercise that I could not do, but after her very detailed explanation of which muscles to use by the end of the session I could do what was required!
Even though I am arthritic with 6 joint replacements and osteoporotic, Kinga showed an indepth approach on how to make me stronger by pushing my boundaries in a very safe and comfortable way. My posture, balance, flexibility and muscle strength improved hugely under her guidance.
Kinga’s sessions are full of variety and very enjoyable, with her attention to detail, and her warm and fun personality.
I am very fortunate to have had Kinga as a pilates instructor!”

“I had put off trying pilates for nearly 4 years post back major surgery .. my surgeon highly recommending that I strengthen my core muscles to take the pressure off my back. Well what a mistake it was waiting so long to find Pilates and Kinga Jutsen. It is brilliant and so is she. Apart from having numerous qualifications - her empathy for my state of body and mind has made the past two years (private and semi privates) something I looked forward too: every week. I was shocked to hear of her “tree change” but so pleased for her and her new husband to escape Sydney. I need now to find a replacement 1/2 as good. And or make regular trips to the Bowral”
“I have been a client of Kinga’s for over 3 years. During this time I have found her style of Pilates very rewarding. Kinga’s Pilates style in my opinion is very Holistic, working on Mind, Body and Soul.
My strength, balance and flexibility has never been better. I also love the way Kinga would set me a challenge and then we would spend the next few weeks working on developing the strength and skills to achieve it.
I found Kinga’s concentration on breathing and stretching left me very clear headed and calm at the end of my session.
With regard to the actual sessions each session was always different to the previous session giving lots of variety as well as making them very personalised.
Her attention to working on areas that were a bit sore or tight at the time was so good and Kinga would always monitor you closely while you were doing your exercise to make sure you were doing it properly ensuring you got the maximum benefit from the exercise while
not causing yourself an injury.
I would thoroughly recommend Kinga as a wonderful Pilates instructor and person.”

The face of exhausted happiness. Okay, maybe a little more exhausted than happy. The Great Wall of China Marathon, 2017, where I placed 17th of all the women and 3rd in my age category.
A little more about me,
I am looking forward to bringing my practice to you, with 16 years of experience and formal qualifications in both personal training and pilates. I have also completed gestalt psychotherapy course, understanding the importance of mind/body connection.
Here is a little bit of my background:
I came from Poland in 2003 where I was an English teacher. I quickly realised that I love teaching but my real passion was in physical training which linked up with my enjoyment of long distance running. I qualified as a personal trainer and I did that for a few years. I was looking for ways to provide a much more profound and long term benefit for my clients.
Fortunately, one of my personal training clients was also doing pilates and she recommended a studio to me. One thing led to another and I ended up studying pilates and working at that classical studio for some years under an inspiring leader Olga Tamara. Increasingly, I found that classical pilates, while providing a great discipline, was limited in dealing with some remedial challenges. I also wanted to be much more creative in providing personalised programs to meet each of my clients’ individual needs. I started working in Village Pilates, a great contemporary studio where I learnt a lot alongside an excellent team of talented practitioners. I worked there for over 7 years before moving to the beautiful Southern Highlands.
In the meantime, I decided to explore the mind/body link by studying Gestalt therapy, and I have recently graduated.
In my free time, I love exploring my beautiful new home by going for long walks with my husband Jon, cycling and running. I completed a few half and full marathons, including the Great Wall of China marathon. My pilates practice and good understanding of proper running technique helped me to avoid injuries and achieve great results.
I am looking forward to working with you.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES PILATES FROM OTHER METHODS OF EXERCISE
Pilates is all about alignment and supporting proper neuromuscular function. It is often thought of as only core strengthening method, while in reality it strengthens the whole body with particular focus on the core and deep stabilising muscles. It also works on the intrinsic muscles of your feet and hands which improves balance and coordination as well as all the global muscles, for example: quadriceps that you use for running, cycling and biceps for lifting things. Joseph Pilates invented also special apparatus such as: reformer, Cadillac, ladder barrel, Wunda chair and spine corrector. The versatile equipment provides an infinite number of possibilities to strengthen and elongate your muscles. During one session, all the joints in your body, especially your spine, are mobilised and taken through all the ranges of motion. That helps with the lubrication of the joints and often leads to feeling lighter.
Pilates is a low impact method focusing on control and precision of movement. One of the many great aspects of pilates is that it can be adopted for people of all levels and needs, from rehabilitation and beginners to advanced clients and athletes.
The incorporation of strengthening as well as lengthening exercises with the focus on alignment makes pilates a perfect injury prevention as well as rehabilitation method. It is an intelligent form of movement requiring concentration and has an infinite number of exercises keeping both your body and your mind constantly challenged.
Here are some benefits of pilates that are back up by evidence:
Improves strength and muscle tone without adding bulk
Increases flexibility
Improves posture and functional movement
Reduces or eliminates back, neck, joints’ and muscular pain
Improves balance, coordination and circulation
Improves lung capacity through deep breathing
Prevents and rehabilitates injury
Helps with the management of arthritis
Improves and complements sports performance (golf, running, cycling, dancing, etc)
Corrects muscular imbalances
Rejuvenates on a physical and mental level
Enhances body awareness
